France: US -Iran negotiations must be in line with European interests – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
French Foreign Minister Jean -Noel Barrow said that the negotiations should be for European interests, pointing out that Paris, London and Berlin vigilantly follow the nuclear talks between Washington and Tehran.
“We, along with our English and German friends and partners, will be vigilant to ensure that any possible negotiations (US-Iran) will be in line with our security interests in Iran’s nuclear program,” Barrow said.
The first round of “indirect” talks between Washington and Tehran was held on Saturday with the participation of Iranian Foreign Minister Witcaf and Abbas Arakchi and his accompanying delegation in Oman. Following Trump’s unilateral and illegal departure from Brajam’s agreement in his first presidency in year 2, these indirect talks will be held for the first time at the highest level between the two countries.
The Times of Israel quoted Witcaf as saying that Ron Dermr, the Minister of Strategic Affairs of the Zionist regime, has been informed of the Oman negotiations. CNN quoted an informed source as saying yesterday that US -Iran talks are due to continue next week and will probably be in a European country.
The Axius news website also quoted sources as saying that the next round of indirect talks between Iran and the US will probably be held in the Italian capital next Saturday next week.
