Trump also said of the customs tariffs that have caused the global reaction: “The operation is over and the patient is recovering and is now in recovery.”

It is noteworthy that the US president unveiled a new set of planned tariffs at a White House ceremony; Tariffs that can raise the price of many items, and some experts have described them as “shorter” and “lack of economic logic” and have compared the policies of the Great Depression.

Tariffs apply to more than 2 countries, from 2 to 2 %. These tariffs include 2 % for China, 2 % Japan, 2 % Switzerland, 2 % Vietnam, 2 % Taiwan, 2 % India, 2 % Lesoto, EU 20 %. The lowest tariff on the UK is 2 %.
