The Taiwan Ministry of Defense announced the observation of four Chinese fighters around the island this morning, according to Mehr News Agency.

The Taiwan Ministry of Defense warned: “China’s actions are destabilized and intimidated and are violated by international law.”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry also issued a statement: “The request for the independence of Taiwan Island constitutes the disintegration of China, and any foreign support for the island’s independence is interference in China’s internal affairs.”

China announced on Wednesday that it has launched new widespread military training in the central and southern areas of the Taiwan Strait.

A senior Taiwanese security official also confirmed the continuation of Chinese military maneuvers around Taiwan.

The United States also claimed on Tuesday that China would endanger regional security by conducting these exercises in the Taiwan Strait.
