British Trade Minister’s Stance on Trump Customs Tariffs – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
British Minister Jonathan Reynolds took a stand on customs tariffs imposed by US President Trump, according to Mehr News Agency.
“We hope that Trump will abandon customs tariffs in the coming weeks and months,” he said.
A few days ago, US President Donald Trump announced that his government would have tariffs on car and automotive parts to the US from now on.
Trump said on Wednesday, March 5, that the tariffs will be applied from April 3, and the tariff on the import of auto parts is due to be implemented in May or later.
The White House claims that implementation of the policy could generate $ 5 billion annually for the United States, but some economic analysts believe that the decision may lead to a temporary closure of an important part of the US automotive industry, raising the price of cars and affecting Washington’s relations with its allies.
