Anva: Gaza has entered the longest siege since the beginning of the war – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
Philippe Lazarini, the Commissioner for Relief and Employment for Palestinian Refugees (Anva), said in a statement that no humanitarian aid has entered the Gaza Strip for the past six weeks, and this is the longest time since the start of the war.
He added that Gaza patients are without medication and that parents cannot provide food for their children, and these conditions have increased hunger and there is a risk of the prevalence of diseases in the Gaza Strip in the future.
The UNHCR emphasized that more than 6,000 people in Gaza were forced to leave their residential areas due to orders issued by Israel.
The statement called for an immediate suspension of the Gaza siege and the reopening of the crossing of the area to enter Gaza’s humanitarian aid, in addition to announcing the freedom of all captives and the ceasefire.
