The Danish Prime Minister accused the United States of “unacceptable pressure”
The Danish prime minister has accused the United States of “unacceptable pressure” before the unintended visit of the Trump administration to Greenland.
Just hours after Danish Prime Minister Roster Frederickson’s remarks, US Vice President JD Venus announced that his wife, Osha Vance, joined their imminent visit to Greenland.
“My wife’s trip to Greenland is so interesting that I decided to join her on this trip,” Venus wrote on the X -Social Network. “We are talking about Donald Trump instead of Donald Trump, we want to reinforce the security of the Greenland people because we think it is important to maintain the whole world security.”
Even before the announcement of Venus, Fredericksen told Danish Channel 2: “I have to say that pressure on Greenland and Denmark is unacceptable in these circumstances, and this is the pressure we will resist.”
He also rejected the idea of being personal and said, “You can’t meet the official representatives of another country. It is clear that this meeting is not about what Greenland needs or what Greenland wants from a visit. “There is no matter how we look at it, this is a completely unacceptable pressure on Greenland, Greenland politicians and the Greenland population, as well as Denmark and thus the kingdom.”
In the meantime, Prime Minister Greenland has also accused Washington of “foreign intervention” in connection with the planned trip.
