Zelnski: America has offered us a new version of the mineral agreement
The Ukrainian president said the United States has offered a new copy of the Kiev mineral agreement.
According to RCO News Agency, on Sunday, delegations from Ukraine and the United States in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, consulted that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rostam Amirov described as “constructive”. The two sides held the second round of talks on Monday after a separate visit by US and Russian delegations on Monday.
In an interview with reporters, Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnsky told reporters that his team had informed him about the new US deal, described as a major and comprehensive agreement.
He added that at present, details of what the United States believes to be an important mineral deal should be, and said that the document will be adjusted between both parties.
The Ukrainian president also noted that the agreement would be voted on in the Ukrainian parliament after the two delegations are completed on the agreement.
US President Donald Trump and Zelnsky today (Wednesday) spoke in a telephone conversation about Ukraine’s energy supply and its nuclear power plants.
According to a White House statement, Trump told Zelnsky that the United States could be helpful in setting up power plants.
At a News conference after the meeting, Zelnsky told reporters that he and Trump were talking about rebuilding the Zapurgia nuclear power plant, and Ukraine is ready to talk about modernization. He also denied the ownership of the plant.
