Video/ Imamoglu is imprisoned; Rejection
The Turkish Criminal Peace Court issued a sentence of imprisonment on the Istanbul mayor on Sunday morning until his trial. Imamoglu, one of the main rivals of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was arrested last Wednesday on charges of corruption and cooperation with a group that Turkey calls “terrorist”.
