According to the US official, the proposal includes the extension of the ceasefire until Ramadan and the Jewish Eid. Because the cease -fire extension provides more time to negotiate a permanent ceasefire framework in Gaza.

Hamas is aware of the deadline and the United States will respond accordingly.

The Witcaf and the US National Security Council also said that Washington has made a proposal to reduce disputes and renew the ceasefire in Gaza.

According to the proposal, Hamas will release live Israeli prisoners in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in accordance with previous formulas. In the first phase, the ceasefire extension enables humanitarian aid to resume, while Washington will seek a permanent solution to stop the conflict during the renewed ceasefire.

According to Witcaf Washington, through his partners in Qatar and Egypt, Hamas has informed Hamas that the offer should be implemented soon.

Hamas officials and leaders have not yet responded to the proposal, but Hamas’s full acceptance is in a state of uncertainty.
