Irvani: The Security Council meeting is a provocative and unacceptable act – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
Amir Saeed Irvani, Iran’s representative to the United Nations, said Tehran was strongly protesting the “provocative and unjustified” meeting of the Security Council on the nuclear program, Mehr News Agency reported.
He described the meeting as a “obvious political maneuver” and “using the Security Council to advance the limited goals of some countries” and warned that such actions would create a dangerous history and undermine the credibility of the Security Council.
The Iranian representative emphasized that the issues raised at the meeting are technical and are within the authority of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The Iranian representative to the United Nations stated: “The responsibility of the current situation is fully responsible for those who have violated the nuclear deal.”
He emphasized: Iran will not negotiate under pressure, will not submit threats and accept any dictation.
The Iranian representative to the United Nations stated: “Any attempt to force Iran to a fair agreement will fail.”
“Our nuclear program is and will remain peaceful and we have no intention of changing our defense doctrine,” Yervani said.
Irvani warned that any attempt to impose an unfair agreement on Iran would be doomed to failure.
