Russian airlines are smuggling aircraft parts from America and Europe to continue their aircraft, according to Mehr News Agency.
Lee Walker, director of the Berkeley Risk and Security Laboratory, claimed that Russia was forced to take illegal routes to enter the aircraft after international sanctions from Ukraine.
The US Department of Justice has reported that three people have violated export restrictions imposed on Russia to send aircraft parts.
According to the report, the Russian Foreign Ministry recently urged the United States to return its air boycott on the country’s planes. Earlier it was reported that Russia was using Iran’s ability to reclaim its passenger aircraft.
Senior Russian and American officials met in the Saudi capital in late February about the bilateral relations and the Ukrainian crisis. The summit, which was attended by the foreign ministers of the two countries, was the highest level of talks between the two countries in recent years.
