A number of Democratic female representatives in the US Congress selected the pink color for their clothes during the first speech by President Donald Trump in Congress, according to the Mehr News Agency.

The move was taken by US female representatives to protest Trump’s policies towards women and families. Congress’s Democratic Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi, along with other women, selected the color before the start of Trump’s speech.

One of the delegates emphasized that the pink color reflects power and protest.

Prior to the launch of the speech, members of the women’s faction rallied outside the Congress building against Trump.
