Reuters: White House is investigating the reduction of sanctions against Russia

According to RCO News Agency, media sources quoted sources as reporting that the White House is investigating plans to lift some sanctions against Russia after reports of possible suspension of US military aid to Kiev.

“The White House has ordered the US State and Treasury (US) to provide a list of reduced sanctions,” the British news agency Reuters wrote on Monday evening. “It is expected that US officials are expected to talk to their Russian counterparts in the coming days as part of the broader negotiations aimed at improving diplomatic and economic relations with Russia.”

Informed sources that have not been revealed to the news agency told the agency that the current proposal includes lifting sanctions on individuals and jobs.

Reuters also reported that the White House’s request for the document in recent days shows US President Donald Trump’s willingness and its advisers to reduce sanctions as part of a possible agreement with Moscow.

Earlier, an American official and an informed source reported to the Oxyus News Agency that the US president will examine the future steps on the Ukrainian crisis on Monday, including a possible suspension of military assistance to Kiev.

Trump and his allies have increased pressure against him since meeting with Zelkski at the White House. The suspension of US military commits damages Ukraine’s defense against Russia.

Apart from Trump, Trump’s Deputy Minister Jedi Venice, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Minister Pete Hegest, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and other senior US officials will attend the meeting.
