According to RCO News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today (Friday) that at a meeting with the US in Istanbul, they agreed on joint measures to finance the diplomatic missions of the two countries.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The parties agreed on joint measures to finance the activities of Russian and US diplomatic missions in a mutual way and create appropriate conditions for diplomats to carry out their official duties.”
The delegates also referred to the issues of Russian diplomatic real estate in the US on the return of six civilians, which were illegally confiscated in the 1-8 period, the statement said.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Russian delegation has also suggested that the United States should examine the possibility of resisting direct flights.
The parties also discussed ways to overcome “annoyance” in bilateral relations at the Istanbul summit.

The Russian delegation, represented by Alexander Charchheff, director of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the US delegation, on behalf of the Deputy Foreign Minister Sonata Colter, attended the Istanbul meeting on February 7.
The importance of practical results that contributed to the creation of conditions to improve bilateral relations in the interests of our countries was emphasized, a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
