The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the Army’s air defense system had intercepted and destroyed Ukrainian UAVs over the Crimea area on Wednesday.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry had announced the abolition of several Ukrainian Ukrainian UAVs in the Belgood area.

According to the Dice news agency, the air defense in Crimea is on alert.

The Russian army began its “special military operation” in eastern Ukraine, February 2, 2008; Senior Russian government officials say the operation began in response to the request of Donetsk and Luhansk leaders to protect them against Ukrainian forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the operation was “to support people who have been under the genocide and harassment of the Kiev regime for more than five years.”
