Thousands of power outages due to winds on the west coast of America
More than 100,000 people in Washington and Oregon were in power on Tuesday due to heavy winds in the northwestern Pacific.
According to RCO News Agency, the US National Meteorological Services Organization has warned that heavy winds can be dangerous for individuals and vehicles.
The organization also warned that it was possible to damage property or trees, adding that severe winds could make driving difficult, especially for trucks and other large vehicles.
According to the Powerutage.us website, which tracks power outages, there were more than 6,000 subscribers in Washington and 6,000 in Oregon without electricity until 9:30.
Most of Oregon’s power outages were concentrated in the northwestern region of the state. Only more than 6,000 power outages were reported in the city of Clacamas and more than 6,000 in Tlammok and nearly 6,000 power outages were recorded.
In Washington, about 5 power outages have been reported.
