Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with his Chinese counterpart in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday, according to Mehr News Agency.

The Russian Foreign Minister said about the meeting: “Based on our agreement we will be our next meeting in Moscow.” Russian -China relations are still an important factor in stabilizing the international situation.

The Russian Foreign Ministry had earlier announced: Lavrov arrived in South Africa to attend a meeting of the Group 2 Foreign Ministers.

The Russian Foreign Minister arrived in South Africa a few hours ago to attend a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Group 2, which will be held in Johannesburg (today and tomorrow Friday) in Johannesburg.
