The Azerbaijani president’s assistant met with the Zionist Prime Minister in Tel Aviv today (Wednesday).
According to RCO News Agency, Hekmat Hajiv, an assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Institution, met with Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel as well as regional developments,” the Azarniws website quoted the Azerbaijani Embassy as saying. “During the conversation, Hajiov transferred Azerbaijan President Elham Aliyev to Netanyahu.”
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan said, “The Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked the message and asked for his greetings to be transferred to the President Aliyev.”
The parties also discussed bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Zionist regime and regional developments.
The relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Zionist regime have always been a combination of explicit cooperation and agreement. At the official level, the two have extensive diplomatic, commercial and military relations. Tel Aviv is one of the main suppliers of military equipment in Azerbaijan, in contrast, Baku supply the oil needed for Tel Aviv. At the same time, intelligence and security cooperation between the two parties to control other regional movements and issues has shaped the hidden part of these relations. The presence of the Zionist defense industries in Azerbaijan and the establishment of the Baku Embassy in Tel Aviv are signs of deepening these relationships that have important geopolitical consequences in the South Caucasus and West Asia.
