Guterres called Trump’s plan for Gaza “ethnic cleansing”

In an interview with France, US President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza, ISNA reported, said: “Ethnic cleansing is not acceptable in our world.”

Speaking on the sidelines of the African Union meeting in Adis Ababa, Guterres said, “It is imperative that the war in Gaza, which has already suffered a lot, should not start.”

Regarding the crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where Rwanda -backed insurgents are progressing, he said Rwanda President Paul Kagame told him at a summit of the African Union that “it is ready for a diplomatic solution.”

Guterres said that the basic principle of any negotiation must be the territorial integrity of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In the end, he called for a ceasefire between the parties involved in the Sudan clash, saying that General Abdul Fattah al -Burhan and General Mohammad Hamdan Daqlu should be negotiated.
