Tuesday, the day of US -Russia talks about Ukraine in Saudi Arabia
Russian media announced the start of US -Russian talks on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
According to RCO News Agency, a Russian media reported talks between US and Russian delegations on the Ukrainian crisis resolution on Tuesday in Riyadh.
The Camrexant newspaper reports that the US will be negotiating with Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Trump’s Special Representative Steven Witekaf.
Barack Ravid, a correspondent for the US website, also announced that talks about Ukraine are expected to take place on Tuesday in Riyadh.
Rubio is currently on a regional tour in West Asia and had a meeting with Zionist officials in the occupied territories on Sunday.
Rubio is set to travel to Riyadh today. Other US officials have also said they will arrive in Saudi Arabia Monday.
According to Ravid, it is still unclear what diplomats will be Russian negotiators, but Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is likely to go to Riyadh.
US President Donald Trump also said Monday that he might meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Trump, Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnsky will also be present in the talks.
Zelnsky had previously criticized Kiev’s dismissal of the negotiations.
The Ukrainian president told Axius on Friday that he had not received invitations to be in Saudi Arabia.
