Earlier, five members of the US Congress had in a letter to the president called for his withdrawal from his remarks about control over the Gaza Strip.

Trump’s remarks about the migration of the Gaza Strip to Egypt, Jordan and other Arab countries have been condemned and opposed by Arab countries and some European countries.
