Nabih Barry made the remarks in Ein Al -Taine after meeting with General Jasper Jeffers, chairman of the Ceasefire Supervisory Committee, with US ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson.

“I have refused to talk about extending the occupation’s withdrawal from Lebanon, and it is the Americans’ duty to impose it on Tel Aviv, otherwise they will make the biggest failure for the Lebanese government,” he said.

Nabih Barry emphasized: If the Israeli occupation continues in Lebanon, the passage of time will determine what will be the reaction to it and that is the responsibility of the Lebanese government. The army in the south of the Litani River fully performs its duty. In the case of northern Litani, it also depends on Lebanese and consultations on the defense strategy.

The head of the Lebanese parliament also said that the funeral of the martyrs of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safi al -Din will be held safely and without harassment.
