The agency summoned Moscow’s ambassador to Baku in the midst of Russian media reports on the Azerbaijani airplane in Aktao, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s media outlet.
According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku calls some of these reports “based on false information”.
The statement is noted that the results of the initial investigations into the bitter collapse of the Azerbaijani Airlines Aircraft are identified and the work is underway to finalize the investigation, the statement said.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Gallin and Azerbaijani ambassador to Moscow spoke last week about the crash of a Baku plane near Actao, stressing that completing official investigations and announcing results was necessary. During the meeting, the Russian side expressed surprise at the recent Azerbaijani media reports against Russia and a “lies campaign against the Russian Cultural Center in Baku” and insisted that the allegations were completely baseless.
