White House Representative’s meeting with senior Palestinian official in Saudi Arabia
Two sources reported to the Oxyus News Agency that US President Donald Trump’s Special Representative for the Middle East met with senior adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday.
This is the first meeting between a Trump administration and a Palestinian official since the November election, according to ISNA. The meeting between Witakaf and Hussein al -Sheikh has taken place in the midst of the Trump administration’s efforts to end the war in Gaza and advance the peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and the Zionist regime.
Informed sources told Oxyus that the meeting was the result of several weeks of negotiations between Trump administration officials and Palestinian leadership.
According to one source, Saudi Arabia has played a mediator in the meeting. The White House, the Saudi Embassy in Washington and Hussein al -Sheikh refused to comment.
Witcaf traveled to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to meet Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He is due to travel to the occupied territories on Wednesday to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Zionist regime officials.
The White House is also expected to visit Gaza.
