London: The ceasefire in Gaza must be implemented
While accusing Iran, the British Foreign Minister pointed to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and said: “All parties must implement and adhere to the agreement.”
According to RCO News Agency, “David Lemmy”, the British Foreign Minister, discussed the ceasefire issue in Gaza on Thursday evening and said: “This conflict is full of missed opportunities and the opportunity for sustainable peace must be exploited by the parties.”
The British Foreign Secretary told the House of Commons: “There is much work left to be done.” The final approval of this agreement is very important. “As the Israeli cabinet meets, I urge them to support this agreement.”
“Now is not the time to back down,” he said. “Both parties must implement each phase of the agreement fully and on time.”
Lamy, who is the head of the diplomatic service of one of the main allies of the Zionist regime, claimed: “It will be a tragedy if we lose the opportunity in front of us. “Now there is an opportunity not just for a ceasefire, but for a lasting peace, an opportunity to break the cycle of violence that has caused so much suffering to people.”
He reiterated: “The decades-long conflict between Israelis and Palestinians is unmanageable and must be resolved now.”
“We’re not there yet,” Lemmy added. There is still much negotiation to be done, and as we discuss in this House, the war continues. This agreement is awaiting full political approval. The families of the prisoners are waiting for them to return home. “The people of Gaza are waiting for the end of the current terror.”
While claiming that now is an opportunity for “a better future for the Palestinians and reaching a two-state solution”, he claimed: “Hamas cannot play a role in the future of a Palestinian state.”
Stating that Gaza and the West Bank should be united under one government, Lamy added: “Self-governing organizations should also play a central role in Gaza. “Planning needs to improve security for both Gaza and Israel, and if we want to end the current crisis, Israel’s security will be fundamental, and this will require extensive negotiation.”
The British Foreign Minister’s claim about “Hamas not playing a role in the future of a Palestinian state” is while according to published surveys, the Palestinian resistance movement is more popular among Palestinians than the self-governing organization and many consider Hamas their representative.
Nevertheless, Lemmy reiterated: “My vision is very clear. Hamas cannot play a role. Terrorism must end. Trust must be restored.
He continued to make anti-Iranian statements and claimed: “Iran remains a destructive force.” “This is the moment when Iranians must step up and do the right thing.”
His claim against Iran is based on the statements of the officials of the countries of the region, the Zionist regime and the blind support of the West to this regime is the main cause of the current crises in the region, and Iran’s role has always been to fight terrorism and maintain stability and security.
The British Foreign Minister went on to say that he would like to see an increase in the number of aid trucks to Gaza and added: “In order to increase aid to Gaza, the management of this lane should be made more appropriate.”
“Now is a fragile moment and the UK is pushing for a political process because only a political process will lead to long-term stability and the ability of the citizens of Gaza to live and rebuild this strip,” he claimed.
