The final statement of the Riyadh Arab-International meeting about Syria – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, the Arab and non-Arab countries participating in the Riyadh meeting on Syria issued a statement at the end of the meeting.
It is stated in this statement: We stand by the choices of the Syrian nation and respect their will, and we emphasize the necessity of survival of terrorism in Syria. We support the political transition operation in Syria in which the political and social forces of Syria are present, the rights of all Syrian people are protected and it is carried out with the participation of all spectrums of the Syrian nation.
These countries announced: We are working on resolving all challenges or issues of concern to various parties through dialogue, providing support, suggestions and advice in a way that maintains Syria’s independence and sovereignty. We want to cancel unilateral and international sanctions against Syria and provide humanitarian and economic support to it.
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated: We are concerned about the entry of “Israel” into the buffer zone with Syria and its adjacent positions in Jabal al-Sheikh and Al Quneitra province, and we emphasize the importance of respecting the integrity of Syria and the sovereignty and integrity of its lands.
It should be noted that the Riyadh international meeting regarding the developments and crisis in Syria was held today, Sunday, with the participation of the foreign ministers of several Arab and non-Arab countries.
The activities of this meeting are divided into 2 parts; One part is related to the foreign ministers of Arab countries with the participation of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and the other part is related to Western officials including France, England, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Spain and the United States. This meeting will be held in continuation of the previous meeting which was held in Aqaba port in Jordan on December 24.
