The latest stance of Lebanese politicians regarding the election of General Aoun for the position of president – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency

According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Mayadeen network, Hezbollah representative Hassan Fazullah emphasized that Hezbollah’s final position regarding the president will be adopted at the time of voting and in accordance with “national satisfaction” and he refused to announce a direct position at this stage.

The group of independent and progressive representatives of Lebanon announced in a statement that they have decided to vote for General Joseph Aoun as the president and considered this election as a step towards the country’s political stability.

But the Free National Movement (Al-Tayar al-Watani al-Harr) expressed its serious opposition to the election of General Aoun and described this decision as “contrary to the constitution”.
