The US Congress seeks to sanction the International Criminal Court
The head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives presented a bill whose purpose is to sanction the International Criminal Court and all the people who help this court in confronting the crimes of the Zionist regime.
According to Isna, “Brian Mast”, the head of the foreign relations committee of the US House of Representatives, introduced a bill that aims to sanction the International Criminal Court for dealing with the crimes of the Zionist regime.
Mast, who submitted this bill along with Chip Roy, the Republican candidate for the US House of Representatives, said: “Our bill sends a clear message to the International Criminal Court. “We may not recognize you, but you will surely understand what happens when you target America and its allies.”
The International Criminal Court has previously issued an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and condemned their key role in the Gaza genocide.
According to a statement published on the website of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, the head of this committee described the verdict of the International Criminal Court as an “attempt to violate Israel’s right to self-defense” and in a strange comment said that this verdict has prolonged the war in Gaza. is!
According to this bill, which is called the “Unlawful Court Countermeasures Act”, any person who targets American citizens or citizens of the united states of this country for investigation, arrest, confinement or judicial prosecution will be sanctioned, including officials of the Zionist regime, members of the NATO, Japan and Taiwan.
He described the International Criminal Court as “illegitimate” and said that this court did not have the jurisdiction to issue arrest warrants for the leaders of the occupation regime. Pointing out that the Zionist regime is not one of the signatories of the Rome Statute (the fundamental document of the Criminal Court), Western countries claim that this court does not have the right to conduct judicial investigations in the occupied territories.
In the past, the Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin, even though Russia has not signed the Rome Statute and is not a member of this court. However, the West supported Putin’s arrest warrant at the time and did not claim the court lacked jurisdiction.
If this bill is passed, the officials of the International Criminal Court and their immediate family members will not have the right to enter the United States, and the visas of the members who are present in the United States will also be revoked.
In addition to the members of the International Criminal Court, this bill also targets people who provide material, financial or technical support to this organization.
