Iran condemned the violent act against people in America
The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attack in the American city of New Orleans and expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims.
According to Isna, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baqaei, in response to the journalists’ questions, emphasized the principled position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in condemning all forms and manifestations of terrorism wherever and by any person, group or government that commits attacks. He condemned the terrorist elements attributed to ISIS who drove a car into a group of people in the American city of New Orleans, which led to the death and wounding of several people, and expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on Thursday, after its initial investigation into the car chase incident in New Orleans, USA, that left 10 dead and dozens injured, that the perpetrator of this “attack was definitely inspired by ISIS.”
Earlier, the American network and publications reported that the suspect of the ambush incident is a person named “Shamsuddin Jabbar”, 42 years old, who had served in the American army for at least 10 years.
This incident happened in a French-populated area and according to local media, the driver changed the direction of his car towards the crowd and ran over many people.
According to “ABC” network, the attacker was killed in an exchange of fire with the police.
