Türkiye: We have not received a request to hold talks between Russia and Ukraine
“Ryanvosti” quoted an informed diplomatic source in Ankara and announced that the Turkish side has not received any request to hold talks in Istanbul from any of the parties to the conflict in Ukraine.
According to RCO News Agency, the spokesperson of the Turkish presidency said on Monday that it is possible to hold peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul and that Turkey is ready to support the start of this process.
An informed source in this regard told RIA Novosti: “We have stated many times that we are ready to host talks at the highest level. As President Erdoğan has emphasized, none of the parties will be losers in the peace process. So far, no request has been made by the parties (to hold negotiations).
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced last week that Russia is ready to negotiate with Ukraine based on the agreements reached in 2022 in Istanbul.
