Zelenskiy rejected the Hungarian ceasefire proposal
In a statement, the Prime Minister of Hungary announced the opposition of the President of Ukraine to this country’s proposal to establish a ceasefire on the occasion of Christmas.
According to Isna, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Wednesday evening: “Zelensky has rejected Hungary’s proposal for a Christmas truce in conflict with Russia and a large-scale prisoner exchange.”
He added: “We proposed a ceasefire on Christmas and a massive exchange of prisoners.” It is sad that Zelensky rejected this offer openly. We did what we could.”
On the other hand, according to the Sputnik News agency, “Dmytro Litvin”, the assistant to the president of Ukraine, rejected Orban’s statements in a statement on Wednesday night and said that “the Hungarian side has not discussed anything with Ukraine.”
