Russian lawmaker: We will not intervene in case of civil war in Syria
The deputy of the Council of the Russian Federation said that in the event of a full-scale civil war in Syria, the Syrians cannot count on Moscow’s help.
According to RCO News Agency, “Konstantin Kasachiev”, the deputy of the Council of the Russian Federation (Russian Senate) said that in case of a full-scale civil war in Syria, Moscow will not intervene and the Syrians should solve this possible crisis on their own.
After the advance of the last few days, which started from Aleppo and reached Hama, the Syrian armed opposition started their movement towards Damascus on Saturday from the south of Syria and entered the Syrian capital this Sunday morning and took control of it.
In a message on his Telegram channel, Kasachiev said that the most difficult days of the Russian crisis have not yet come: “Syria is a difficult story for everyone.” This civil war will not end today, because there are many opposing forces and conflicting interests, including from terrorist groups.
This message continues: “If the Syrian people continue to ask us for help, we will support them. But in the event of a full-scale civil war, we are unlikely to help. “At that time, the Syrians will have to deal with it alone.”
