The first shipment of these fighters was delivered to Ukraine in the summer of this year, and at that time the media reported that Kyiv had received only 10 F-16s. The number of fighters in the second shipment delivered to Ukraine today is unknown.

US President Joe Biden, who at the beginning of the war in Ukraine, was against sending heavy equipment such as fighter jets to Kiev, finally, with a lot of pressure from the Ukrainian government, gave permission.
