Kyiv: We will not accept any compromise on the territorial integrity of Ukraine
In the course of reports and possibilities regarding the transfer of Ukrainian territories to Russia in exchange for the end of the war in Ukraine, the foreign minister of this country said that there will be no compromise on the territorial integrity, sovereignty and future security of Ukraine.
According to RCO News Agency, the war in Ukraine will soon enter its third year, and not only is there still no prospect for peace in this war-torn European country, but some Western countries, especially the United States of America, instead of focusing on diplomatic solutions to resolve this conflict, are They insist on sending financial and military aid to Kiev.
According to Bloomberg News media, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha said on Thursday in Malta during the meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe: “We need to eliminate the gray areas because Russia is turning them into areas of influence, instead we “We need geopolitical guarantees about Ukraine as part of the Euro-Atlantic community.”
Referring to his country’s peace plan, he said: “Ukraine’s peace plan is ultimately for Russia to leave Ukraine and leave us alone.”
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine pointed out: “Kiev will not accept any compromise on its territorial integrity, sovereignty and future security.”
Some Western media and officials, especially after the victory of US President-elect Donald Trump in the November 5th presidential election of this country, are speculating that maybe the Trump administration’s plan for peace in Ukraine is to cede territories to Russia and finally end the war.
Also, one of the things that the Ukrainian government insists on is Ukraine’s membership in NATO; An issue that apparently the Trump administration does not have much desire to implement.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine issued a statement and emphasized the country’s membership in the NATO military alliance and announced: “Ukraine will not accept any alternative to Ukraine’s full membership in NATO.”
