According to Mehr news agency, Hossein Akbari, the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, said Wego He said to Al-Mayadeen network: Iran-Syria relations are very advanced and it is natural to support and defend each other in difficult situations.
He added: Iran believes that the agreement between Syria and Türkiye is beneficial for both countries and their nations and has been trying to mediate in this direction for years.
Akbari added: We should look for peaceful solutions to extinguish the fire of crises and we hope to help Syria to get out of this crisis through political movements.
He said that Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will travel to several other countries in the region to follow the developments in Syria.
Akbari warned: The threat of ISIS is not only aimed at Syria and its people, but it is a threat to all countries of the world, including Syria’s neighbors and Islamic countries.
He emphasized: ISIS has threatened not only Syria and Iraq, but the whole world.
Akbari reported: The pressure on Syria has increased due to the country’s anti-Israel stance from all the countries of the world.
He revealed the role of Washington in Syria and said: America has tried a lot to create differences between Syria and Iran and other members of the resistance axis.
Akbari added: There is a secret desire on the part of America to stay in Syria for the benefit of Israel’s interests.
He once again addressed the ISIS terrorist group and said: If ISIS can be established in Syria and Iraq, Europe, Southeast Asia and Islamic countries will not be safe.
Akbari warned: There are many signs of Israel’s role in the current developments, including the fact that the attacks of terrorist groups have coincided with the suspension of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
In the end, the Iranian ambassador in Damascus said that despite the high costs and prices that Syria pays for its positions, these costs are much lower than the cost of surrendering (to the enemies).
