Zelensky: There is a high probability that the war will end in 2025
The President of Ukraine welcomed the plans of the countries of the world to end the war in Ukraine and said that if the right path is taken, the war in Ukraine can be ended next year.
According to RCO News Agency, Ukrainian media reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Ukraine and its allies take “all necessary measures”, there is a high possibility that the country’s war with Russia will end next year.
According to the Ukrainian News agency “Interfax”, Zelensky said at a conference in Kiev that he would welcome the peace proposals presented by the leaders of African, Asian and Arab countries, as well as the president-elect of the United States, “Donald Trump”, and added: “I think “In January, these proposals will be presented… and then we will have a plan to end this war.” He also denied the published reports that Kiev accepted only his proposal and rejected the other proposals.
In October, Ukraine’s president released his plan to end the war, known as the “Peace Plan,” which includes Kiev joining NATO and receiving more security guarantees to prevent any future Russian attempts to invade Ukraine. Earlier this month, he also proposed a plan for resilience that focuses on Ukraine’s internal development, cultural sovereignty, internal security and energy policy.
However, the beginning of Trump’s presidency in January of next year can significantly change the course of the war. Although no specific peace plan has yet been confirmed, Trump is said to want to stop fighting on the current front lines, give Russia control of about 20 percent of Ukraine’s territory, and force Kiev to “temporarily suspend” its efforts to join NATO.
Meanwhile, Zelensky has announced that Kiev is ready to offer concessions in order to end the war. He told the American news channel Fox News that Ukraine is ready to pursue the removal of the Crimean peninsula from Russian control not by military means, but by diplomatic means, in order to avoid the death of “thousands” of Ukrainian citizens.
