“El Capitan” supercomputer managed to claim the title of the world’s most powerful supercomputer with a record of 1,742 “exaflops” (data processing measurement unit). Previously, the supercomputer data processing speed record belonged to the “Frontier” supercomputer of 1.353 exaflops, which El Capitan was able to break.
