Letter of 88 American legislators to Biden to sanction Zionist ministers – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Biden administration will officially hand over the helm of the White House to Donald Trump, the winner of the 2024 presidential election, on January 20. However, now the Democratic lawmakers, who have been silent since the start of the Gaza war and the Palestinian genocide, are demanding symbolic measures from the Biden administration in this regard.
Based on this, 88 American legislators signed a letter asking the Biden administration to impose sanctions against Itmar Ben Gower, the Minister of Internal Security and Betzalel Smotrich, the Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime, for extremism against the Palestinians before leaving the White House.
This letter, which was signed by the representatives on October 29 and is now officially published in the media, emphasizes: We legislators are extremely concerned about the increase in the violence of the Zionist settlers, the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, and actions that weaken even more. The self-governing organization will be established in Ramallah.
In the continuation of this letter, it is stated: These 2 extreme Zionist ministers are fanning the flames of violence in the West Bank, which has fueled the intensity of the settlers’ daily attacks on the Palestinians. During these attacks, Palestinian houses are destroyed, their properties are looted, and civilians are killed and injured.
In the end, these legislators emphasize: Despite these extremist officials in Netanyahu’s cabinet and the continued violence of the settlers and the implementation of annexation policies, it is obvious that more sanctions are urgently needed.
