Washington: Sending weapons to Israel continues
The Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department justified this country’s participation in the genocide of the Palestinian people.
According to Isna, “Vedant Patel”, the deputy spokesperson of the US Department of State, claimed on Tuesday evening that the Zionist regime did not violate the US law on humanitarian aid to Gaza, and therefore military aid to Tel Aviv will continue.
Meanwhile, the Zionist regime’s attacks on Gaza and Lebanon with American weapons have left about 50,000 martyrs and thousands of injured.
In this regard, Barak Ravid, the Israeli reporter of the Axios News site, quoted two American officials and reported that despite the warning of the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, the US government will continue to send weapons to the Zionist regime.
Pointing to the meeting between Blinken and Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s senior adviser, Patel said: “Blinken discussed ways to improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza with Israel’s Strategic Affairs Minister.”
According to Patel, during his meeting with Dermer, Blinken stressed the need to take steps to improve the situation in Gaza, send more humanitarian aid to Gaza and reduce harm to civilians.
The Deputy Spokesman of the American Diplomatic Service also said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country emphasized the importance of ending the war in Gaza and the “return” of prisoners to Hamas in his meeting with Netanyahu’s senior adviser.
Blinken and Dermer also discussed efforts to reach a diplomatic solution to end the war in Lebanon.
Patel also said that Blinken, in continuation of the hostile policies of the US government, emphasized the country’s commitment to the alleged right of the Zionist regime to defend itself against “threats from Iran and its supported groups”.
Earlier, American envoy Amos Hochstein said in a statement: There is an opportunity to reach an agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
