The French woman was sentenced to 3 years in prison for supporting Palestine
Media sources reported that a French woman was sentenced to three years in prison for supporting the Palestinian nation.
According to Isna, the French judicial system sentenced a pro-Palestinian activist to three years in prison for allegedly “glorifying terrorism” for publishing posts on social networks in support of the Palestinian nation and condemning the massacre in the Gaza Strip.
According to Arabi21 website, this sentence was issued on Monday in Nice (Southeastern France) against a 34-year-old woman after she was convicted of committing 13 crimes, including “glorification of crimes against humanity, incitement to discrimination and incitement to hatred.”
AFP reported that the woman is a mother, a nurse’s aide and a second-year nursing student, and has been in custody since September 19.
According to this News agency, he was also involved in the establishment of the association “From Nice to Gaza” and was one of the main leaders of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Nice.
During the trial on October 21, this activist said that he did not know the consequences of his words. He defended himself and said: “There is a genocide going on that has left more than 40,000 dead and 90,000 wounded.” I confess that I utter very harsh words, but I do not approve of the manner in which they are interpreted.
In addition to issuing a three-year prison sentence, the French judicial system ordered the publication of this decision at the expense of the female activist in the French newspapers “Le Monde” and “Nice Metin” and ordered her to pay an amount of more than 13,500 euros.
