Consultation between the Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces
The commander of the armed forces of Ukraine and the head of the joint staff of the American armed forces discussed the latest developments on the battlefield, and the American side once again emphasized the continuation of support for Kiev.
According to RCO News Agency, “Alexander Sirsky”, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in a telephone conversation with General “Charles Brown”, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, informed him about the latest developments in the war with Russia.
“I informed the American colleague about the situation on the front line, which remains difficult,” Sirsky said.
He added: “Using air superiority and long-range fire power, the enemy does not stop offensive actions in several directions and has a significant advantage in artillery shells.”
The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces for “deterrence against Russian invaders and the next stages of military support” were discussed in detail.
He thanked General Charles Brown and the US government for another package of military aid and continued support for Ukraine.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces, for his part, assured the full support of the Ukrainian defense forces and “the continuation of our practical assistance in the fight against hostile Russian forces.”
The consultation of the military leaders of the United States and Ukraine is carried out in a situation where developments in the field are not in favor of Kiev, and on the eve of the American elections this week, additional pressure will be put on the Ukrainian army. Ukraine is worried that with the possible victory of “Donald Trump” the former president of the United States and the candidate of the Republicans, he will be forced to negotiate peace according to the request of the Kremlin, and he is trying to make the most of that day.
