Two Israeli ministries cut ties with Haaretz due to support for Palestine – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, the two ministries of interior and culture of the Zionist regime have announced that they are severing their relations with Haaretz newspaper due to the description of Palestinians as “freedom fighters”.
The Israel Hume newspaper reported on Friday that the Israeli Ministry of the Interior has issued an order to stop cooperation with Haaretz after Amos Shuken, the owner of the newspaper, made a comment describing the Palestinians as “freedom fighters”.
The Israeli Interior Ministry forced Shoken to apologize for the characterization, and according to Israel Hume, he apologized at a press conference in London, saying, “I have reconsidered what I said, and to clear any doubt, Hamas is not a freedom fighter. ; The 7th of October was a shocking day.
He added: “The use of terrorism is illegal and I was wrong not to mention this clearly… As is always the case in Israel, my words are my personal views and do not represent the views of Haaretz newspaper.”
Zionist network “i24” reported that Schocken accused the cabinet of creating “a brutal apartheid system” against the Palestinians and said: “They are fighting freedom fighters whom Israel calls terrorists.” He also warned: “What is happening in Gaza is a second Nakbat” and called for sanctions against the Zionist regime, adding: “This is the only way to realize the Palestinian state.”
I24 channel and before that, Israel Hum newspaper announced that the Ministry of Interior of the Zionist regime has cut off all its cooperation with Haaretz.
The Ministry of Culture also announced that after Shoken’s statements in London, it will immediately stop all its advertising and cooperation with this newspaper.
Haaretz newspaper wrote in its editorial on Wednesday: “It is not surprising that there are serious doubts about the implementation of the ethnic cleansing operation by Israel in northern Gaza.”
The newspaper added: “Since three and a half weeks ago, Israeli forces have surrounded the northern part of the Gaza Strip.”
This left-wing newspaper reported that “Israel has virtually banned the entry of humanitarian aid into northern Gaza. “The ban on aid means starvation for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, and the information received from the besieged area is partial because Israel has prevented journalists from entering Gaza since the beginning of the war.”
“If this operation is not stopped quickly, hundreds of thousands of people will be displaced and communities will be completely destroyed,” the newspaper warned. The moral and legal stain of this crime will remain on the soul of every Israeli and will haunt him… No wonder there are serious doubts about the ethnic cleansing by Israel and the attempt to permanently evacuate the Palestinians from this region.
