Security Council: Israel should fulfill its obligations towards “UNRWA” – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

TheAccording to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the United Nations Security Council warned against stopping UNRWA’s activities in the Gaza Strip and the occupied territories.

The UN Security Council announced on Wednesday that UNRWA is the basis for all humanitarian responses in Gaza.

The UN Security Council statement strongly warned against any attempt to destroy or reduce the activities of UNRWA.

The UN Security Council emphasized that there is no organization or institution that can serve the Palestinians as an alternative to UNRWA.

The UN Security Council also expressed its concern over the Zionist regime’s decision to ban the activities of UNRWA and asked this regime to fulfill its international obligations towards this UN body.

In this statement, all parties are asked to take the necessary measures to facilitate the entry and access of aid for civilians in Gaza.

The Knesset of the Zionist regime recently voted to approve the law that prohibits the activities of UNRWA in the occupied territories. Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of this regime, claimed that UNRWA staff should be held accountable for what he called “terrorist activities” against this regime.
