Putin: We are concerned about the situation in the Middle East/we are in constant contact with Iran – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
Referring to the war in Ukraine, the Russian president said in a press conference after the end of the summit of the BRICS countries in Kazan: “Russian forces are advancing in the front line of all axes of the special operations zone in Ukraine,” Mehr news agency reported.
In another part of his speech, Vladimir Putin said: The claims about Russia’s opposition to resuming contacts and relations with European countries are lies.
He emphasized: Ukraine’s use of advanced and high-tech weapons is not possible without the direct participation of NATO. We received proposals about negotiations with Ukraine from Türkiye and agreed to them, but the Kiev regime opposed them.
Putin noted: We are concerned about the situation in the Middle East and we are in constant contact and communication with Iran’s leadership to find mutually agreeable solutions. We believe that it is possible to reduce tension in the Middle East, including in Lebanon.
The President of Russia stated that there is no person who would not benefit from seeing the developments in the Gaza Strip. The main cause of the crisis in the Middle East is the absence of an independent Palestinian state, and it is necessary to implement all the decisions of the Security Council in this context.
