Blinken plans to travel to London and meet with Arab leaders
The spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the plan of the foreign minister of this country to visit London at the end of his trip to the region and consult with his Arab counterparts in England.
According to RCO News Agency, “Matthew Miller”, the spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced in a statement in this regard that “Anthony Blinken”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of his country, will leave for London at the end of his regional tour in the coming days.
According to Al-Nashrah website, Miller said: Blinken has now gone to Saudi Arabia after his trip to Tel Aviv and is scheduled to hold meetings with his Arab counterparts in London.
Today (Wednesday), while his country is contributing to the devastating war in Gaza, the US Secretary of State claimed that Washington has clear plans for the future of Gaza after the war and is against the return of the occupation of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.
Continuing his claims, the US foreign minister added: “We are examining the existing facilities and new formats to stop the war and return the hostages (Zionist prisoners).
Blinken claimed in a press conference that the United States is following Tel Aviv’s moves to facilitate humanitarian aid to Gaza “very, very carefully.” He also acknowledged that Tel Aviv has failed to send humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Before leaving Tel Aviv for Saudi Arabia, the US Secretary of State told the media: “It is very important that humanitarian aid reaches the people who need it in Gaza. And as you know, a few weeks ago, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and I wrote to the Israeli ministers and to the Minister of Strategic Affairs, laying out a list of things that need to happen to get aid more effectively to the people who need it. . So yesterday we looked at it in detail and I can report that progress has been made which is good, but more progress needs to be made. And the most important thing is that this work needs to be continued.”
“We’ve had periods before where the Israelis have stepped up what they’re doing, but we’ve seen them pull back,” Blinken added. “So we’re following this issue very, very, very carefully and we’ve gone into it in detail.”
The US Secretary of State also claimed that with the removal of some resistance leaders, there is now a greater possibility for an agreement to release prisoners between Hamas and the Zionist regime. At the moment, Hamas has not announced any change in its position.
“We talked about the plan we have on the table and the work we’re doing on that plan, and we looked at new foreign relations frameworks as a possibility,” Anthony Blinken said. We talked about the importance of determining whether Hamas is ready to move forward, and the Egyptians and Qataris are doing exactly that. “But I believe that with the removal of Yahya al-Sanwar (the leader of Hamas), there is a real opportunity to return the prisoners home and achieve the goal.”
