Zelensky: Germany opposes Ukraine’s joining NATO due to fear of Russia – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, citing Rashatodi, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Germany does not support Ukraine’s membership in NATO because it is afraid of Russia’s reaction, but Berlin will eventually follow Washington’s position.
Zelensky has just returned to Kiev from his trip to America and European countries to gain support for his plan known as the “Victory Plan”.
Although America and its allies promised Zelensky to provide more weapons and ammunition to Kiev, they did not support his plan.
He told reporters in Kiev: I say what I saw and not as someone I like or not. The German side did not support our joining NATO and this is the fact.
Although he placed Germany in second place after Ukraine in terms of providing equipment and military aid to Kiev, he added: Germany is afraid of the NATO issue, when it considers Russia’s reaction. This is the reality.
Zelensky went on to say that a “larger coalition” could influence German opinion, explaining that this would mean a certain US “yes”.
Following the criticism of the heads of European countries on the so-called “Victory Plan” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico described this plan as “completely unrealistic and unworkable”.
The Prime Minister of Slovakia announced on Saturday that the European countries are tired of the conflict and war in Ukraine, because despite the comprehensive military support of the EU countries to Ukraine, the fate of this war is still unclear.
In the latest developments of the war in Ukraine, “Balaj Orban”, the political advisor of Viktor Orban’s office, the Prime Minister of Hungary, harshly criticized the “Victory Plan” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying that this so-called plan is the fastest way to a world war.
Last week, Zelensky made public his main demands of pro-Kiev foreign leaders in the form of a “Victory Plan”. His list includes an urgent invitation to join NATO, increase the supply of Western weapons and support Kiev’s invasion of Russian territory. In return, Kiev has offered permission for the long-term use of Ukraine’s mineral resources by NATO member countries, as well as the performance of its military forces in this military alliance!
Balazs Orban, who is not related to Viktor Orban, said: “Zelensky’s plan is the fastest way to end World War III.” If Zelenskiy’s demands are met, the situation will worsen and NATO countries will open their feet to war, and this is “completely unacceptable” for Hungary.
He asked the members of the European Union to prefer the strategy of peace and diplomatic cooperation to the continuation of supplying weapons to Ukraine. The statements of this senior Hungarian official come at a time when the country’s prime minister has also described Zelenskiy’s plan as “more terrible than terrible”!
