A discussion about the partnership between America and Armenia
Today (Tuesday), Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan hosted a delegation from the United States led by Michael Carpenter, the special assistant to the President of the United States and the senior director of the European Department in the National Security Council of this country.
According to RCO News Agency, in the meeting, Mirzoyan and Carpenter discussed the bilateral issues of Armenia and the United States, including the current plans of the two countries to develop strategic partnerships and perspectives for the future, as well as the use of surpluses for interaction in various sectors.
In this regard, the Foreign Minister of Armenia said that the country is eager to continue developing relations with the United States based on common interests and cooperation in the field of common values.
Mirzovian and Carpenter also discussed issues related to regional security and stability.
The Armenian Foreign Minister emphasized that this country has made efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus.
This senior Armenian official also spoke with the US envoy regarding the talks on the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Mirzoyan also announced Armenia’s desire to conclude a peace agreement with Azerbaijan in the shortest possible time frame.
