The signatories of the letter emphasized that the tragic loss of life in the Gaza Strip is unimaginable.

Pointing out that estimates show that “in the past year, more than 17,000 children in this besieged Palestinian territory were killed by Israeli attacks,” this letter reminds us that now 31 hospitals and 88% of schools in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed or severely damaged. .

The letter of the British Labor Councils, which was published on the user account of the X social network “Worker Muslim Network”. The signatories further emphasized that “we should not be complicit in this flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws; It is our moral duty to act now.”

In another part of this letter, it is stated that “for this reason we have gathered as councilors and as Muslims and as members of the working community we ask the working government to fulfill its moral duty by suspending all arms sales to Israel; As long as international and humanitarian laws are observed and respected.”
