Zelensky’s statements about the US reaction to the “Victory of Ukraine” plan
Zelensky said that the Ukrainian authorities have presented the country’s “victory plan” in the United States, and this plan has received its first feedback from the United States, and a team from the White House is scheduled to travel to Kiev in the near future.
According to RCO News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a delegation from this country had gone to America to discuss two options of the so-called Victory Plan, which includes inviting Kiev to join NATO and strengthening the Ukrainian armed forces.
According to Sputnik News agency, he added in a national speech: “A delegation of Ukrainian officials had traveled to Washington to talk and discuss the said plan to talk with American officials about this plan and its provisions.”
He added: “We received feedback from the American authorities immediately after presenting this plan. I expect that a delegation from America will visit Kiev in the near future.”
The President of Ukraine further noted: “We are waiting and in the near future we will host a delegation of Americans.”
Ukraine’s invitation to join NATO is also at the top of this five-point list of the so-called victory plan. Kiev submitted its request to join this military alliance in September 2022, but has not yet received a clear signal from the allies.
The second paragraph of this plan emphasizes the need to bring the war to Russian soil, like the battle in Kursk that began in early August.
This paragraph also calls for the removal of restrictions on long-range attacks in Russia and the West’s support for the downing of Russian missiles and drones over Ukraine.
The plan also envisages the eventual replacement of some US forces in Europe by Ukrainian forces, as well as an agreement between Kiev’s allies on joint defense and the use of important Ukrainian resources.
