According to Mehr news agency, citing Anatoly, Egypt’s presidential body issued a joint statement following the visit of Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, to Cairo and announced that a lasting ceasefire should be established in the Gaza Strip and the blockade should be lifted.
In this statement, while condemning the repeated attacks of the occupying Zionists on Islamic holy places in Jerusalem and condemning it, it was emphasized: Any attempt to change the current historical, religious and legal situation is rejected and unacceptable.
It is also noted in the joint statement: Efforts must be made to achieve a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian issue, taking into account the two-state solution and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state within the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The efforts of the international community to ensure an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Lebanon and to prevent the expansion of the scope of the conflict in the region are very important.
